The FBR (Forward Bolt-Release) is a product designed to give the shooter more options for a quick reload. While seating the magazine the shooter can simultaneously use their index finger to release the bolt. This alleviates the need to seat the magazine then reach back and pinch standard bolt-releases. It also gives the shooter the ability to release the bolt with the back of their firing hand.

The FBR is compatible with our drop-in mag-well, as well as the LunarTech Designs Hellion Flared Mag-well. It can work with the OEM STANAG mag-well, but will lack front stability.

Concept is great

Concept is great, fitment was a bit lacking. The slot for the retaining pin was out of spec and would cause the bolt release to jam in the rearward position keeping the bolt from locking open. After shaving around 1/16" off it functioned great though.

I have reached out to you, via email, with more details. Regardless, I believe I have identified the issue and I am working to test my hypothesis. You are the second person to report this and I am genuinely sorry for the inconvenience. I cannot identify a problem quickly, if the first I hear about it is in a review.

Modifications may be needed.

Everything was fine until I put the bolt release pin back in, then the FBR would not move. I had to remove material from the top of the pin slot with a file, little at a time and it finally worked. I used an smaller anit-walk pin and it worked, but FBR was loose and rattled, so removing material with a file was tigher fit. It works.

Hello Harold, I am genuinely sorry that you had an issue with your FBR. I wish you would have reached out to me so I could identify the issue and offer a solution. I cannot identify a product defect if no one tells me about it until its in a review. Reviews are very important for a small, one-man, operation. I have emailed you to hopefully figure this out.

Works great as described

Works great as described. Delivery (to Switzerland) was smooth. Installation is simple, follow documentation. I highly recommend this upgrade.

Awesome bolt release

Installed the new magwell and extended bolt release. Improved ergonomics decreased transition between mag changes. Love it.

Quick support, good product.

I initially had a problem with the magwell provided in the bundle not fitting my rifle. Mister Hadden reached out to me within half an hour of my initial review being posted, providing me with troubleshooting options, and the problem has been fixed. The system works incredibly well and is IMO an essential upgrade to the Hellion.
