MADE IN THE USA!
This is the first aftermarket rail for the Springfield Hellion/VHS-2. They are made via additive manufacturing, and are now available in 3 versions: Standard Length Slim (SLS), Standard Length (SL), and Extended Length (EL).
SLS: 4 columns of M-Lok® on 5 sides, weighing 2.75 ounces, and only 1.7 inches wide; the SLS is a more streamlined version of the original SL rail.
SL: 4 columns of M-Lok® on 5 sides the standard length rail is only 1/4" longer than the stock handguard and weighs 2.99 ounces. This rail gives you a little more width if you have large hands.
EL: 6 columns of M-Lok® on 5 sides, plus 2 additional rows under the 1913 rail, the extended rail offers plenty of options for mounting accessories. Plus, it's only 4" longer than the stock handguard and weighs 5.43 ounces.
The stock handguard comes in at 3.74 ounces.
PAHT-CF has a Heat Deflection Temperature of 194°C (381°F) and has been tested with a Griffin Armament Recce 5.
DO NOT use the extended rail on a 16" Hellion, unless there is a muzzle device that extends past the end of the rail.
There is NO guarantee on the MOA of the top rail on the extended rail. In testing, myself and an independent tester have had success using it as a laser aiming module (LAM) host. However, with pressure applied, in any direction, it is possible to throw the LAM’s zero off.

Let me say first that I think a LOT of us would like to create products for applications we see a need for to break out of the daily grind and do something we are passionate about. This guy did that with the VHS-2 products he is offering. The hand gaurd is not cut from 7075 aluminum it is printed it had flex till I put m lok rails on it after that it felt like it was made of aluminum. It is a solid option at that point and affordable in comparison to the other 3 options. It provides room for a afg and bipod with ease and I do not run a ir laser although I believe one could. I ran long enough pic rails to brace the opening for the adjustable gas system on the left and right side, 3 slots long and a afg on the bottom. I have a PTR spiritus tucked into it. It suits my needs 100% and I am happy this dude took time to provide the option 600$ is crazy for a black lable.
This rail fixes the issues I have with the stock handguard.
It's a solid tight fit and I'm able to run everything I need off of it. No issues with flex beyond what can be reasonably be expected.
It's the rail that should come stock from the factory.
